The Interactive Map of World History uses a series of key maps dating from 3500BC - AD2005. The colours on the map show the civilisations / nations of the time.

There is some text on the left which gives an overview of what has happened in the world at that date. Each map also contains numerous information "hotspots".

The "hotspots" serve to give an overview of what is happening in that particular part of the world at that time.

The Interactive Map of World History includes 30 different modules which present key episodes in history using animated maps.
