A new version of the Interactive Map of World History for 11-13 year olds is on its way. This will be a radical reworking of the basic concept. The number of key world maps will be reduced from the current 17 to 10. Together with a huge increase in the number of images, this will mean that each map will be much more graphically appealling.
We are putting more and more detailed historical information onto our free website, the TimeMaps Atlas of World History, and this is allowing us to focus the Interactive Map of World History more on headline events and episodes.
Once we have completed this version, we will turn our attention to the 8-11 years version, which will also experience a complete overhaul. After that, we will start creating a version for older students. All this while we gradually build the free online atlas of world history!
